To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be residents of unincorporated Clark County of the City of Las Vegas. (Residents of Henderson, Boulder City, North Las Vegas, etc., are therefore disqualified.) In addition, candidates may not have any felony convictions, be an elected official, cannot be a present or former LVMPD police or corrections officer, or the spouse, sibling, or parent of a Metro peace officer.
